Endurance:Shackleton's Incredible Voyage written by Alfred Lansing, tells the story of Shakleton and his twenty seven crew members, whose ship the Endurance became locked in the ice, and how they survived over a year on foot, traveling across the ice to land. The book describes how they were able to survive, along with everything they had to endure. They expirienced more than most people can imagine. In the end, Shackleton and his crew all make it home safely. While they were trapped in the ice, everyone back home had assumed they were dead when they didnt return after a few months. Its a miracle that everyone had survived. I really liked this book from the beginning, and not just because it was an easy read, but because it was true; everything that was written had actutally happened. It made it ten times more interesting.

Sounds like a thrilling tale. I cant imagine what those sailors must have gone through. I love true thriller stories. When did this take place? Was it hard to read?

This sounds like a fascinating story of survival. It is so interesting to read about what people can do to survive when they are pushed to the edge.

This book sounds like an interesting read. It sounds like my book in both the fact it was a true story and how the men survived even when there was little hope.

This sounds like a very appealing book and it connects with my book because they are both 100% real stories and ideas.

So much of the "explorer" phase of Western history helped the West to develop science as well as increased trade.
